mother's touch

the cool-smooth of tile under throbbing feet

the rumble of dishwasher caressing hands that hang down

the sweet dew of brow atop cartooned pillowcases

the mumble of love, the kiss of neck

this is a mother's touch,

my love

    i'm feeling dry these days only b/cs i can't see past nursing and mommying, and i visit my friends in their here-space and part of me wants to be jealous but i think i'll walk away inspired instead.
    love this.. love your poetry bethany. seriously. i could print most of them and bind them up and just drink.
